Sometime this afternoon, I saw a couple of huge birds circling the sky above our house and its immediate areas. The birds were relatively huge, with brown feathers on their body, while their heads were covered with white feathers. They looked mostly to be gliding in the air, flapping theirs only on occasion (possibly to gain more height and speed). Their cries were somewhat similar to a squish toy, high pitched and shriek-like. Or maybe it was their distance that made it sound so.
When I described it to my dad, he said it was a bird that locals called "malimbang" and it was part of the eagle family. I tried looking for information about them online but I've yet to stumble across one.
